Great Hope

Image
Even in the snow...  It has warmed up to about 30 so we figured we better take advantage of the "warm" day and get more of our Great Hope books passed out.  We have just a few streets left and not many people working on them so off we went to accomplish something big...  :)  A lovely walk on a Sabbath afternoon while sharing God's love with Alpena!

The Happy Tummy

I have a small hobby business that enables me to share healthy food with people while making a few bucks.  I cook for just a few people on a regular and irregular basis and each time I send food home with people I send home a tract with them.   Really the possibilities for tracts are endless!  I've handed them to people while walking or on a bike.  I've left them at gas pumps, in grocery carts, on store shelves or products, in bathrooms.  I've mailed them in packages or letters.  We hand them out with treats and notes.  You can leave these little treasures everywhere you go for someone to find behind you...

Caroling the Halls

On Christmas afternoon we went to the nursing home to carol down the hallways.  Since we go to the nursing home for Bible Labs every month, we have some special friends there.  It was fun to sing carols and spread cheer to these precious elderly people! It was a Merry Christmas!

Gas Stations and Songs

What a fun service oriented Christmas we had!  We packaged up some homemade muffins and made little tract packages and off we went with a song and a smile for those who had to work on Christmas morning.  We stopped at gas stations and hotels and any place that we saw an "open" sign.  When we walked in each door we started singing "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" and handed them the goodies.  This is our favorite part of Christmas!  It is so fun to see the smiles, the expressions of surprise, and the joy that it brings people when they know that someone stopped to think of them!
