Blood Drive

Praise the Lord our town blood drive was on Monday when people were still free to carefully move about. We provided 40 apples and oranges along with our Health GLOW packs for everyone who donated blood.

Health GLOW Tract Packs

It's amazing how quickly life can change!  At the beginning of this Coronavirus pandemic in America I started thinking about how we could share health because the best time to share something is when people need it. This is the pack we came up with and until we were asked to stay home we has so much fun sharing it! These contain: 1 Steps to Health GLOW tract 1 health card with NEWSTART health tips on the back 2 vitamin C drops We stopped by the local police department and were able to share 25 packs there. The ladies at the front desk thought it was a great idea and took one for ask the officers and support staff. We also went to Walmart one day and shared some with the people working there. The last man I handed one to love it so much he said "If it weren't for this whole pandemic thing I'd hug you!"

Member Package

We put together a little package of encouragement for our church members yesterday. The vast majority of them do not have a strong enough internet service so they can download or live stream sermons and none of our churches offer live streaming anyway. Besides phone calls we wanted to find a way to reach out to them and stay in touch. We do have a phone tree in place for each church but we also put together this little package that includes a timely and encouraging sermon, a newsletter out together by our family, a tithe envelope, and a letter. We sent this to attending and nonattending members so we are praying that the Holy Spirit waters these seeds we are planting.

Neighbor Letter

In light of what is going on in our world we are taking the opportunity to reach out to all our neighbors. We prepared a letter that expressed some of the feelings that are prevalent right now in our world as well as the hope and comfort we can find in Jesus. We also let our neighbors know that we can help if they need anything like picking up groceries or prescriptions or even just a friendly phone call or prayer. We included two tracts -- one on health and one to give encouragement in the coming days.  We prayed and sent 20 of these letters in the mail yesterday.
